The Name: Bundi Vilas
The Place: Next to the palace in Bundi, Rajasthan
What’s it like: A tiny haveli in the heart of Bundi’s old town, recently renovated and coverted into a boutique guesthouse. The rooms are all different shapes to fit into the ancient structure, and have a lots of period charm. Furnished with rajasthani quilts and cushions they are all very comfortable. The rooftop restaurant serves simple indian food and good breakfasts.
What we love: The views from the roof top terrace, the charming owner JP and Bundi’s amazing palace. It is by far the best place to stay in town.
What to avoid: The monkeys bouncing around on the roof and occasional power cuts.
India Beat Verdict: The best place in town without question.
